13th January 2007 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 20-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 3 foor messy surf Air Temperature: 10ºC Sea Temperature: 10ºC Weather: Showers Max Speed: 25.3 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 11.8 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) A perfect day for me, but Steve didn't have quite so much fun (I'll let him explain his day to you). I started off well-powered with my Naish Hybrid Freewave and 57m sail. Blasting around nicely with some good gybes on the faces of the aves and plenty of power. The wind gradually picked up until I was just too overpowered with the 5.7m so came in and changed down to my 5m. This was even better. Once again well powered up and having a whale of a time. Lots of nice jumps and some good wave riding too. After a while as the wind increased I was beginning to get a little overpowered again so called it a day. Top session, and the wind continued to pick up after that hitting almost 50 knots again. Nice and warm out there though and my new mast seemed OK as well. |
